The Giving Bench: Summer Essentials for Sanctuary of Peace
Thank you to all those who so generously contributed Food Bank items over the month of April!
Our next project will run until July 30th. We will be collecting needed aids for people who spend life outdoors on the streets.
Needed items are: toothbrushes/toothpaste, hand sanitizer (no alcohol), disposable wipes, soap (fragrance free), shampoo, nail care kits, bandaids (sealed packages) and ointment, feminine hygiene products, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, foot powder, water bottles (empty), and lightweight summer hats with brim all around (no ball caps). All items can be brought to the church and put in The Giving Bench in the foyer. Thank you in advance!!
Coffee Hosts Information Meeting: May 17
A short meeting will follow the 10:30 am service on May 17 for all members who serve coffee between or after services. We are grateful for the new members who have joined and those continuing to serve. We will review training, duties, health & safety guidelines and answer any of your questions. Anyone thinking about volunteering for this team is also welcome to attend. Brenda Schimke and Kathi Kilgour are the contacts.
Summer Gardeners Needed
We are looking for a few green thumbs! If you are interested in helping tend the church garden over the coming spring and summer months, including weeding and watering plants, please sign up on the sheet in the foyer. Thank you in advance!
Lunch Bunch: May 28
The next Lunch Bunch is May 28th. This will be the last one until the Fall. Please come and join us for a time of fun and fellowship. The doors will open at 11:30 with Lunch being served at 12:00 noon. There is a sign-up sheet in the front foyer.
Prayers for Confirmands
We are excited about the Confirmation Service coming up on Sunday, June 14th (one service at 10:00 a.m.). We ask that you please keep in your prayers those who are being confirmed: Zara, Julia, Danielle, David, Anaiah, Joseph, Kenenna, Aliana, and Jayden.
