The Giving Bench: Winter Essentials for Sanctuary of Peace
Thank you all for your recent generous donations of supplies for the Food Bank!
From now until the end of the year, we will be collecting items for Sanctuary of Peace (formerly Inner City Pastoral Ministry). The items we are requesting are as follows: black or grey toques; mittens and gloves; warm winter socks; men’s & women’s new long underwear or leggings; ‘hot shots’ or similar hand and feet warmers. NOTE: NO handmade items or colourful items. Black and grey only. Please bring in any donated items and place them inside The Giving Bench in the foyer. Thank you!
Trunk or Treat: October 25
This Sunday, October 25, anyone who wishes to do so is invited to join us for Trunk or Treat following the 10:30 a.m. service. What is Trunk or Treat? Children (and adults if they wish!) are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to church (or, if they prefer, just for Trunk or Treat). After anyone who wishes to leave immediately after church has done so, participants will then hand out treats from their car trunks, and children are welcome to go around and collect candy. Please join us on the 25 to either hand out or collect treats!
Lunch Bunch: November 5
The next Lunch Bunch is on Thursday, November 5th. Please come and join us for a time of fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome! The doors will open at 11:30 with lunch being served at 12:00 noon. There is a sign-up sheet in the front foyer.
Parish Prayer List Updates
Starting in November, we will be updating the way we manage our Prayer List. There will be a sign-up sheet on the table at the back of the Sanctuary where names can be written. Names will be kept on the list until the end of each month, and the list refreshed at the beginning of the next month. Only first name/first name and last initial will be used. Thank you for your dedication to praying for the people of St. Margaret’s and the community!
